Revisiting RPG Classic – Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption
Vampire the masquerade is one of the most played pen-and-paper RPGs in the 90’s, similar to Dungeons and Dragons.
The software game has been released to PC 8 years ago, and it did not quite get anyone’s attention due to it’s flaws and other short comings. First thing’s first, the graphics… it is well executed, the environment details are well textured and very well rendered, the floors, doors, medieval wall etc etc… are all well created, it perfectly fits the whole gothic theme, and the characters are executed great as well. Players will be very pleased with it’s beautifully rendered graphics and smooth frame rates.
The Gameplay: oh please help me god, I just wish that Activision and Nihilistic focused more on the difficulty and controls of the game, this game is not that hard to play but very hard, especially on some parts on the game wherein you’ll have to take down an enemy boss which is very strong by the way and a bunch of sidekicks which are very hard to kill. Don’t even start me with the enemy units, they are insanely repetitive and frustrating at times because some of them are harder to kill than an enemy boss.
The Story: I think I’ll give the story about 6 out of 10 rating. Some of the characters that appear in the game are forgetful because they don’t give that much impact ( is it just me? You decide! ) I’m pretty sure that the only character that you’ll remember here is the main star of the story “Christof ……” holy crap I even forgot his surname! Lol
The Sounds: The sound fits the game! That’s all
Value: Because of the game license, the software has quite a collectible value thing for Software Game Collectors. This game is quite rare and very hard to find in any gaming stores out there (well, you can try out amazon.com maybe you can still find pre-owned copies of this game).
Buy the game if you want to have rare games for your collection, it’s not quite a good game but HEY! It’s Vampire the Masquerade!

World In Conflict - Nuke your other war RTS Games, This is THE BOMB
War is never a good thing, killing more than 300 russian commies is even worse…. Not until now! Here comes World In Conflict from Sierra Entertainment, the best war strategy game ever! Set in a Fictional World War III settings, the story focuses on the Cold War, the endless battle of Americans against Russian commies.
WIC (World In Conflict) features a new approach to real-time strategy, instead of the traditional Click-Build-Destroy system, the game uses a different style of gaming… the player will only rely on backup units such as Rifle Troops, Missile Soldiers, Tanks, APC etc. and you don’t need resources to get units and stuff, all you need is reinforcement points and air support points. The graphics are superb especially the explosion effects, water effects and the structure buildings are all very well detailed. Plus added to that, trees and other obstructions can be taken down by weapon explosions and can be run downed by big vehicles.
The sound is also great, they are using war theme background music perfect for this kind of game and you will even here the song “Everybody wants to rule the world” that perfectly fits the 1989 cold war setting. Voice acting are superb, the voices are movie-like quality, it’s like watching a High-Budgeted Hollywood war film, even Alec Baldwin himself narrates the whole story.
Controls are very easy to use, shortcut keys are easy to memorize and the camera controls are user friendly.
This game is very addictive, so good that all 12 missions are so short you will crave for more… I just hope 2 or 3 more expansions will out in the near future!
BUY IT!!!!

F.E.A.R ( One of the best horror shooters of all time )
I just got this game from datablitz here in the philippines. Well, we all know that this game was released couple of years ago but i just upgraded my PC 2 months ago, so this was my only chance to play a high-octane graphical game plus this was rated in gamespot.com as an editor choice game.
The system specs of F.E.A.R didn’t quite made my pants crap out because like I said, I upgraded my gaming rig to the max (except for the video card it was too expensive for that beefy Geforce 8800GT lol!).
Now I installed the game and played it. At first it didn’t make quite a catch on me but as I go on playing and advancing to different levels… it got pretty addictive. The gunshot sounds and visual effects are superb, it almost made my eye pop out, and then the bloody and horrific environment made a big plus for the game and the story plot. It’s so scary I even experienced a terrible nightmare.
F.E.AR is an excellent horror FPS game, every PC GAMERS out there should get a copy especially those who are into First Person Shooters, THIS IS A MUST HAVE…
Oh by the way, get the 2 expansions – Perseus Mandate and Extraction Point as well so that you can finish the whole story of the game
