Revisiting RPG Classic – Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption

Vampire the masquerade is one of the most played pen-and-paper RPGs in the 90’s, similar to Dungeons and Dragons.

The software game has been released to PC 8 years ago, and it did not quite get anyone’s attention due to it’s flaws and other short comings. First thing’s first, the graphics… it is well executed, the environment details are well textured and very well rendered, the floors, doors, medieval wall etc etc… are all well created, it perfectly fits the whole gothic theme, and the characters are executed great as well. Players will be very pleased with it’s beautifully rendered graphics and smooth frame rates.

The Gameplay: oh please help me god, I just wish that Activision and Nihilistic focused more on the difficulty and controls of the game, this game is not that hard to play but very hard, especially on some parts on the game wherein you’ll have to take down an enemy boss which is very strong by the way and a bunch of sidekicks which are very hard to kill. Don’t even start me with the enemy units, they are insanely repetitive and frustrating at times because some of them are harder to kill than an enemy boss.

The Story: I think I’ll give the story about 6 out of 10 rating. Some of the characters that appear in the game are forgetful because they don’t give that much impact ( is it just me? You decide! ) I’m pretty sure that the only character that you’ll remember here is the main star of the story “Christof ……” holy crap I even forgot his surname! Lol

The Sounds: The sound fits the game! That’s all

Value: Because of the game license, the software has quite a collectible value thing for Software Game Collectors. This game is quite rare and very hard to find in any gaming stores out there (well, you can try out amazon.com maybe you can still find pre-owned copies of this game).

Buy the game if you want to have rare games for your collection, it’s not quite a good game but HEY! It’s Vampire the Masquerade!

World In Conflict - Nuke your other war RTS Games, This is THE BOMB

War is never a good thing, killing more than 300 russian commies is even worse…. Not until now! Here comes World In Conflict from Sierra Entertainment, the best war strategy game ever! Set in a Fictional World War III settings, the story focuses on the Cold War, the endless battle of Americans against Russian commies.

WIC (World In Conflict) features a new approach to real-time strategy, instead of the traditional Click-Build-Destroy system, the game uses a different style of gaming… the player will only rely on backup units such as Rifle Troops, Missile Soldiers, Tanks, APC etc. and you don’t need resources to get units and stuff, all you need is reinforcement points and air support points. The graphics are superb especially the explosion effects, water effects and the structure buildings are all very well detailed. Plus added to that, trees and other obstructions can be taken down by weapon explosions and can be run downed by big vehicles.

The sound is also great, they are using war theme background music perfect for this kind of game and you will even here the song “Everybody wants to rule the world” that perfectly fits the 1989 cold war setting. Voice acting are superb, the voices are movie-like quality, it’s like watching a High-Budgeted Hollywood war film, even Alec Baldwin himself narrates the whole story.

Controls are very easy to use, shortcut keys are easy to memorize and the camera controls are user friendly.

This game is very addictive, so good that all 12 missions are so short you will crave for more… I just hope 2 or 3 more expansions will out in the near future!
BUY IT!!!!

F.E.A.R ( One of the best horror shooters of all time )

I just got this game from datablitz here in the philippines. Well, we all know that this game was released couple of years ago but i just upgraded my PC 2 months ago, so this was my only chance to play a high-octane graphical game plus this was rated in gamespot.com as an editor choice game.

The system specs of F.E.A.R didn’t quite made my pants crap out because like I said, I upgraded my gaming rig to the max (except for the video card it was too expensive for that beefy Geforce 8800GT lol!).

Now I installed the game and played it. At first it didn’t make quite a catch on me but as I go on playing and advancing to different levels… it got pretty addictive. The gunshot sounds and visual effects are superb, it almost made my eye pop out, and then the bloody and horrific environment made a big plus for the game and the story plot. It’s so scary I even experienced a terrible nightmare.

F.E.AR is an excellent horror FPS game, every PC GAMERS out there should get a copy especially those who are into First Person Shooters, THIS IS A MUST HAVE…

Oh by the way, get the 2 expansions – Perseus Mandate and Extraction Point as well so that you can finish the whole story of the game

Marvel Legends Wolverine Sabretooth Face Off

I just got a new item here, I got it from the Toy section in SM department store here in the philippines. I saw some of these editions in hobby shops and novelty shops, their price is around $40 - $50. I'm not a big fan of marvel but this one caught my eye! i got this wolverine and sabretooth face-off edition for only $6!!! yeah you heard it right, 6 bucks.... Actually this item was on clearance sale so the department store is selling it for like -80% from it's original price and there's only one left, so i didn't have any second thoughts and i bought it.

i have never opened the package, i want it to stay in mint condition... The sculpture is well detailed although the paint is quite crappy.. it's not as minty as other toys, the paint here really looks like a "paint" if you know what i mean.. anyway this marvel legends wolverine and sabretooth face off edition has a lot of collectible value.. well, at least here in the philippines...

If you want to avail one... well... Good luck searching for one.... or you can get mine LOL!! hahaha

Movie Deluxe DECEPTICON BRAWL

Remember the most amazing film of 2007 the Transformers movie? Do you remember the part where the decepticons are en-route to battle with the autobots?
Well, a lot of people got confused on the tank transformer in the movie... Is it brawl? or devastator? i think that there are some typos in the film, especially the part where the tank called himself devastator... isn't "dev" supposed to be a constructicon built robot? damn!

Anyways, i just availed a new TF toy last month, and there's only one stock left in Toy Kingdom in SM. I got this rare deluxe edition Brawl. The Sculpture is very very detailed as we speak, especially when it is transformed in robot mode, His face looks really intimidating. The paint looks cool for it captivates the exact color from the live action film. It carries a canon weapon that can fire projectiles, with 2 turrets, and 2 mini-guns. The articulation is not that quite posable for it's really quite hard to transform the thing but it's well balanced when standing in robot mode, it's big feet gives all the balance needed.

There's also a Decepticon Brawl Leader class but im really not a fan of big toys, although i'd like to make one huge soundwave in the near future..

My Comment: This toys is a must have. Although not quite rare as bumblebee, this toy is quite cool and very recommended for the fans of the transformers film

Final Battle Autobot Jazz

One of the coolest characters in Transformers, Autobot JAZZ. As one of the oldest friends of Optimus Prime, JAZZ plays a big role in all Transformers series. Jazz is head of Special Operations, with his own dedicated roster of agents. He often gives the most dangerous assignments to himself. It's not a matter of ego—he just really is the coolest head for the toughest missions.

In the movie version, JAZZ still retains his care-free cool attitude, Sadly he died in the movie killed by Megatron.

Here now we present to you our latest toy in our collection:
The FINAL BATTLE AUTOBOT JAZZ

This toy stands about the height of Bumblebee deluxe movie version, it transforms into a Pontiac Solstice. The sculpture is great, it is very well detailed.. Oh I forgot to include that this particular series shows a Battle-damaged Autobot JAZZ.. Anyways, this toy carries a Crescent cannon weapon that has a "Blast-Missile" feature, it can be attached to the spoiler when Transformered into a Pontiac, and the spolier can attached as a shield when in robot form. The car's front part is also his chest, and 2 big wheels are attached to his shoulders

Painting is cool too, the damaged parts are well executed from burns to cracks. The articulation balance is quite good as well, it is more balanced than Bumblebee.

MY COMMENT: A very cool toy, well worth the price of $35... This is one heck of a toy for your TF movie collections

Transformers Bumblebee Movie Deluxe edition

We have finally found the toy we've been searching for over a month... we have searched 5 different malls for it and now our efforts paid off!
We present you Bumblebee Movie Deluxe edition, my wife has all the luck she needed to find these rare transformers item...
This magnificent toy has great features:
First off the vehicle mode, it features the exact sculpture of a chevy camaro '08 car that was also shown on the film. the paint is good, the yellow and and black stripes stands out well and the chevy emblem is well sculpted.

Robot Mode: The robot form looks exactly like the one on the transformers live action film, The sculpture is well crafted and the color matches the robot. The articulation is good but not that balanced like my other transformer toys. It also has some sort of blade weapon that is attached under the chasis when it is in chevy mode.

OVERALL RATING: Damn! it took us a long time to find this rare item... One of the best Transformer toys... If you don't have it yet, GO OUT THERE AND FIND AT LEAST ONE, but if you have one right now, don't be stupid to sell it... If you have more than one unit of this toy, sell 'em and make yourself rich hehehehe

Armored Core Formula Front PSP

Probably one of the best psp games ever released. Armored Core Formula Front. This game features maximum mech-robot action and realistic setups for the armored core units.
You can use up to 6 mechs and you can even setup their weapons, coolants, armors, etc...

The graphics is superb, it almost captivates the clarity of the PS2 version of armored core. Although the background music plays a little lame, the sound effects got the whole sound quality back! The hit, guns, laser and other sound effects are going to blow your nuts, the sound effects are very cool it fits the whole robot war thing!
The difficulty is quite for hardcore gamers.. beginners will need much more time and practice to enjoy this mech game.

MY COMMENT: buy the game! your PSP needs it dammit!!!

Arcee Transformers Movie revision

2 weeks ago my wife and i went to some mall in alabang here in manila to buy some biscuits from popeyes chicken, then we decided to stroll around in TOYS 'R US... Then we checked out the transformers section and there it is! We are so lucky to find this Arcee Movie version.. there was only 1 left in stock so we didn't have any second thoughts on buying the thing so we bought it immediately...

This Arcee toy is great, it really has some girly features like.. it's painted in purple, then the robot mode has a curved body plus it has some sort of hairstyle on her head...

The articulation in robot form is great, it has a great balance when standing, i even executed my very own brawl test (brawl test means i'll let the toy stand in standard position and then i'll hit the desk with one punch). Arcee also holds some sort of a crossbow weapon with fire up action feature.. The sculpture is cool, the toy looks realistic.. It stands about 3.5 inches tall.

The motor form also have great features.. If you are familiar with the YAMAHA R1 motorcycle or the HONDA FIREBLADE, well this toy looks exactly like that. The motorcycle sculpture is very very cool! it even has a plate number on the back *LOL*
The muffler on the motorcycle is the main ammunition of the crossbow weapon, and the main seat is the crossbow itself.

MY COMMENT: BUY IT WHILE STOCK LAST!!! this is a must buy item

4D Puzzle - Airplane Space Shuttle

3 days ago my wife bought another 4D puzzle model kit, it's replica of a commercial airplane with a NASA space shuttle on top. Remember the movie Superman Returns? the part where Superman rescued a bunch of reporters from an airplane crash, well this toy represents that airplane.. (well not exactly look alike but it's close enough)..

The sculpture is great, it looks realistic, especially the NASA space shuttle, you can even open the top hatch of the shuttle.
Paint execution is good and it's perfect for your display cabinet.

This collectible is perfect for commercial plane freaks out there, this is good for your collection... By the way you can also replicate that rescue scene from Superman returns, just try to find a scaled superman toy and you're good to go!!

My Comment: Not for extreme toy collectors who has issues with collectible value. Like i said this is only good for display and not resale marketing
